Dying River is an extreme metal band in my hometown. They play some really cool music like epic-thrash-black metal… Du who’s a friend of mine is the singer and the leader of the band. I used to played bass-guitar in his earlier band Cremater.
This is the band’s logo I designed. There’s a woman with branchial clefts holding the Chinese characters in her arms, under her floating long hair and blood tears. At the bottom of the logo I drew a dying river in the wilderness.
Du like it very much, and the band printed the logo on their T-shirts. When they came to Beijing for performance at the first time, there always be some fans or guys from other bands asking them “hey, which band does this logo belong to?” or “are you guys have this logo?”, and they said “yes” proudly. And this made me feel proud too.
